Generation Geo 2011 provided a two day educational experience for seasoned professionals and newcomers alike.
Day One saw a packed room for the pre-conference training course "Best Practices for Designing & Installing Residential Geoexchange Loop Fields" taught by Dave Pergel from ClimateMaster. With plenty of demonstration materials and a 200 page workbook, the class provided excellent insights, tricks of the trade and helpful reference materials.
Day Two covered a variety of residential and commercial topics that profiled where today's geoexchange market is and how to tap it, and explained how to improve system performance, the role of utilities in accelerating the use of geo, the basics of residential retrofits and why commercial geo is booming.
